About the Author
Etel Adnan (1925-2021) was a Lebanese-American poet, essayist, and visual artist. Born in Beirut, she spent much of her life in exile, living in Paris, California, and other parts of the world. Her work has been translated into more than twenty languages and has received numerous awards, including the 2011 National Book Award for Poetry for her collection "Sea and Fog."
