About the Author
Philip Agee was a CIA officer from 1957 to 1969. He served in Ecuador, Uruguay, and Mexico, where he witnessed firsthand the CIA's covert operations to destabilize these nations.
In 1968, Agee resigned from the CIA in protest against the agency's role in the Vietnam War. He went on to become a leading critic of the CIA and the national security state.
Agee's other books include Inside the Company: CIA Diary, The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence, and Wash Me, But Don't Dry Me: How I Was Spied on by the CIA.
