As the war rages on, Euan rises through the ranks and becomes a respected leader. He fights in some of the most famous battles of the era, including Waterloo. He also meets many historical figures, including the Duke of Wellington and Napoleon Bonaparte himself.

About the Author
Douglas Reeman was a British author of over 80 novels, mostly historical fiction set during the Napoleonic Wars and the Second World War. He was born in 1924 and served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War.
Reeman's novels are known for their meticulous research and attention to detail. He was a gifted storyteller and his books have been translated into over 20 languages.
Reeman died in 2017 at the age of 93.
