This pattern is perfect for beginners because it uses only a few basic stitches and is easy to follow. Plus, it's a great way to add a touch of humor to your home decor.

Materials you'll need:

  • 14-count Aida cloth
  • DMC embroidery floss in the following colors:
    • White
    • Black
    • Light gray
    • Dark gray
    • Pink
  • Cross stitch needle
  • Scissors

Instructions:

1. Start by centering the pattern on your Aida cloth. 2. Use a cross stitch needle to thread a piece of white floss onto the needle. 3. Bring the needle up from the back of the fabric and insert it into the hole two squares to the right. 4. Bring the needle back down through the hole two squares to the left of where you brought it up. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to create a cross stitch. 6. Continue stitching the pattern, following the color guide. 7. Once you have finished stitching the pattern, trim the excess floss and knot the ends. 8. Frame your finished cross stitch and enjoy your new home decor!

Tips:

  • If you're a beginner, we recommend starting with a smaller project. Our 'Not Today Sloth' pattern is a great choice because it's only 50 stitches wide by 50 stitches high.
  • Take your time and don't be afraid to make mistakes. Cross stitch is a forgiving craft, and you can always undo your stitches if you don't like how they look.
  • Have fun! Cross stitch is a great way to relax and de-stress.
